The WEEBF Office Building has been LEED certified by the United States Green Building Council. It provides several exciting opportunities to promote green/sustainable buildings in Madison, Wisconsin, and to demonstrate that even small buildings can be built to LEED certification levels at a cost premium of only a few dollars per square foot. Features that were incorporated into this new office building include:

• High-efficiency heating and cooling
• Air-to-air heat recovery
• Natural prairie
• Construction waste recycling of 50% or higher
• Energy modeling and building commissioning
