Home Savings Bank chose to build a high efficiency building on a previously-developed site within city limits. By adding energy-savings features, this new Home Savings Bank branch location will reduce its annual electrical energy use by 27%; natural gas use by 49%; and annual energy costs by 38%.

Home Savings Bank’s choice will give its employees and customers the ability to breathe fresher, healthier air and enjoy the effects of natural sunlight. Occupants will luxuriate in 10 times the outdoor ventilation air required by Wisconsin building code. Strategically-located windows bring sunlight deep into the building — a smart business decision since studies have shown that natural daylight reduces stress, improves employee retention, and increases productivity of building occupants.
