MADISON, WI ─ McGrath Associates has announced that the 5 buildings that comprise the first phase of the 15-acre Union Corners development project have been registered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to become LEED certified. The Renschler Company has been hired as LEED consultant, commissioning authority, and to provide energy modeling for these buildings.

Union Corners is one of Madison’s largest urban infill/redevelopment projects located on 22 parcels (primarily consisting of the former Rayovac battery factory site and Kohl’s grocery store) at the junction of East Washington, Winnebago, and Milwaukee streets.

The five buildings in the Phase I development include: Building A, Building B, Building C, Building G, and The French Battery Building.
